self-control, and awed by his familiarity with the market. I was completely
bowled over by the inherent potential for moneymaking through trading.

The stock market operates according to clear rules, I was surprised to
learn, and these are known chiefly to the professionals who make their
livelihood through trading. It would be too obvious to say that from that
day on, my life changed beyond recognition.

Success!

Within just a few months of my return home, I went from losing to breaking
even, and then from breaking even to profit. Some two years after I made
my first transaction, I succeeded in generating a monthly income that
allowed me to leave my job. Within just a few years, I moved from hi-tech
employment to the freedom of a home on the sea, playing golf, swimming
in my private pool--and no more than two to three hours a day of pleasant
trading. I had just achieved the American dream.

I was proud of my achievements and loved trading, but more than all
else, I enjoyed teaching new traders. At first I taught several friends at
home, using the same method Chris had taught me. Friends I’d taught for
free brought their friends, who became paying members. Some were from
the hi-tech realm who wanted precisely what I had done: to change the
course of their lives.

They studied, they traded, and they joined the trading room alongside
Chris and Mark, until that remarkable moment when most of the trading
room’s members were… my students! At this stage I was awarded a position
as an analyst, together with Chris and Mark.

Simultaneously, wishing to divert the stream of students away from
my private home space, I established Tradenet, the school for day trading.
Over the years, Tradenet has become one of the largest in the world,
with branches in many states, trading rooms in diverse languages, and
the training experience of tens of thousands of students. Throughout
Tradenet’s existence I’ve continued, with only rare exceptions, to trade
daily from home. I’m not prepared to give up on the comfort of working
from home. Life is short, and every moment should be enjoyed!

From an economic viewpoint, I’ve been“comfortable” for a long while
now. I don’t need to sell books, teach or even trade in order to earn my
living. But I’m writing this book nonetheless because I love my profession,
and I love to teach. Deep in my soul, I’m a true teacher. That’s where my
